In Armenia 1.226 cases of drug trafficking were detected in 2020

As a result of large-scale operative-investigative measures, in 2020, 1.226 cases of illicit trafficking of drugs, psychotropic and psychoactive substances were detected in the Republic of Armenia. The Deputy Chief of Police Ara Fidanyan informed about this at the session of the NA Committee on Defense and Security.
“432 cases of drug trafficking were detected, 141 people were prosecuted, 222 cases of drug smuggling were detected. As a result of the measures taken by the law enforcement bodies, 114 kg 671 g of different types of drugs were confiscated and submitted for examination,” Fidanyan said.
