EU member states may begin talks on buying Sputnik V Russian vaccine

This is reported by Reuters, citing an unnamed European official who represents the EU in negotiations with drug manufacturers, Euronews informs. According to the interlocutor of the agency, this requires requests from four member countries of the union.
According to these data, Italy is considering the possibility of producing a Russian vaccine at a facility near Rome. Earlier, Hungary and Slovakia agreed on the supply of Sputnik, the Czech authorities announced their desire to purchase the vaccine.
Currently, the European Medical Agency is considering an application for certification of a Russian drug in the EU. Four developments have already passed the verification and registration procedure: Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson.
