CSTO troops withdrawing from Tajikistan

25.10.2021 | 18:12The troops of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) have started withdrawing troops and military equipment from Tajikistan after military exercises near the Afghan border, Interfax reported.
Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan, involved in joint exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), have returned to their permanent bases from the Harb-Maidon-Momirak military base, the report said.
On October 18-23, two CSTO military exercises were held in two Tajik military schools not far from the border with Afghanistan. More than 4,000 servicemen participated in the drills.
