Russian Peacekeepers demined about 1.623 hectares in Artsakh

13.03.2021 | 13:30Specialists of the International Demining Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation continue the work of demining, detection, and neutralization of explosive devices in Nagorno Karabakh. This was reported by the official website of the Russian Defense Ministry. In a day, Russian peacekeepers demined 17 hectares, 5 km of roads, 9 buildings, found and neutralized 19 explosive devices.
“In general, Since November 23, 2020, 1.640 hectares of land, 513 km of roads, 1.586 buildings, including 30 objects of social significance have been cleared of unexploded ordnance, 25.173 explosive objects have been found and neutralized,” the statement reads.
By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of November 10, 2020, the troops of the Russian peacekeepers were deployed in Nagorno Karabakh. The base of the military is the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District. The commander of the peacekeepers is Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
