Pregnant woman who died of Covid was 30

The woman who died yesterday from the coronavirus complications was 30 years old, she gave birth a few days before her death, the Ministry of Health told Factor.am.
Despite the efforts of specialists, the woman’s life was not saved, while the baby’s life is not in danger. The woman was not vaccinated against coronavirus.
The Ministry of Health urges to be vaccinated for a safe pregnancy and to have healthy children, at the same time reminding that COVID-19 vaccines are safe for pregnancy planners, pregnant women, and protect them from complications of the infection.
The press secretary of the ministry, Hripsime Khachatryan, in a conversation with Factor.am reminded that at the moment the delta variant, which has a tendency to spread quicker, is circulating in Armenia. Besides, it does not spare the young.
Five pregnant women infected with coronavirus died in Armenia last year. In 2021, four cases were registered.
