Displaced residents of Hadrut protest outside Government building

06.10.2021 | 14:34Displaced residents of Hadrut held a protest outside the the government building, demanding that their housing and status issues taken care of.
“As of September 1, at least 2,500 people from Hadrut have left Armenia, and in the last month that number has increased by 500 people. If our problems are not solved, I will emigrate as well,” said a protester.
Earlier, the residents of Hadrut sent a letter to the government, where the issue of housing was raised, and now they demand an answer from the government.
“We don’t count on the government, the government is cheating. The winter is coming. We can’t pay rent,” they say. They have also sent a letter to the French embassy seeking asylum.
