Azerbaijan has presented updated data on its losses in the 44-day Artsakh war.

According to Azerbaijani media, the Military Prosecutor of Azerbaijan, Lt. Gen. Khanlar Veliyev said that the number of confirmed victims is 2907.

“So far, the identities of 2907 servicemen have been fully confirmed, including those who went missing during the battles. The operative-investigative measures are being continued to find out the location of the seven servicemen who went missing during the war. Search teams are currently working hard,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev said that the remains of one of the seven servicemen were found.

“In recent days, the body of an Azeri soldier was found in the areas where the military operations took place. His identity is currently being determined through DNA test,” said.

According to the Armenian estimates and in the opinion of various experts, Azerbaijan’s losses are several times more than the officially announced figures.
