The National Assembly Standing Committee on Human Rights and Public Affairs has launched a working discussion “On the Rights of Artsakhis, the Rights of Displaced Residents of the Occupied Territories”. Permanent Representative of the Artsakh Republic in Armenia Sergey Ghazaryan also attends the discussion.

Ghazaryan said that the existence of our population in Artsakh is one of the priority issues in the post-war situation. “During the 44-day war, 742 Artsakh servicemen were killed, 45 are still considered missing, 80 civilians were killed, 38 people are in captivity. As a result of the war, we have about 42,000 displaced people, of which 38,154 have been deprived of their real estate, 15,000 of them are in Stepanakert, 5,000 in the regions of the Artsakh Republic, and 1960 people live in hotels,” Ghazaryan said.
