20.09.2021 | 16:01The number of electronic ballots of candidates in the State Duma elections of the Russian Federation in Moscow turned out to be 78,000 more than the number of ballots issued, Roman Udot, co-chair of the Golos all-Russian public movement, wrote on his Facebook page, DW’s Russian service reported.
“If there is at least one ballot in the ballot box more than it is provided by law, then all the ballots are declared invalid. What if they are 78,000 more? ” Udot asked rhetorically. The Golos movement monitors the election process and registers the violations. Earlier, discussing the election results on RFE/RL, the Golos co-chair called the online voting process in the Russian capital disgraceful, and the actual election “one of the dirtiest in Russian history.” He said the results of the electronic voting in Moscow should be declared completely invalid. Electronic voting in the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation took place in seven regions, including Moscow. Shortly after the vote, the Central Electoral Commission released the results from all districts except Moscow.
“What happened? Why is Moscow summing up these results for so long? I still do not know,” said Ella Pamfilova, head of the Central Electoral Commission. According to the CEC, after processing 80.1% of the votes, five parties will be represented in the State Duma: the United Russia (49.42% of votes), the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (19.82%), the Liberal Democratic Party (7.55 %), Fair Russia – Patriots for the sake of truth (7.37%) and the New People party (5.37%).
