08.09.2021 | 12:29At the beginning of the cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about reopening regional communications. He said that the issue is being discussed at the Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan trilateral level.
“After being reappointed as Prime Minister, I managed to visit Iran, and today I am leaving for Georgia. The development of regional communications plays a significant role in the agenda of our discussions with both Iran and Georgia. In this context, I refer to the North-South project, which connects our border with Iran to our border with Georgia. It is also very important for us to establish a railway connection with Russia and Iran. Here we are determined to make efforts to achieve concrete results, realizing, of course, that Azerbaijan, in turn, expects to get communication between its western regions, Nakhichevan,” Pashinyan said.
He also stressed that Armenia is ready to resume the peace process with Azerbaijan under the Minsk Group. “I attach importance to the agenda of the border demarcation, we continue to work to create the necessary conditions for that,” Pashinyan said.
