Armenian National Assembly Deputy Speaker Hakob Arshakyan on September 6 met with Andrey Klimov, Senator of the Russian Federation, Deputy Secretary of the General Council of the One Russia party, Chairman of the International Activities Committee of the General Council, a National Assembly statement said.
Arshakyan said Azerbaijan is not fulfilling its commitments under the trilateral declaration of November 9, 2020 and is not returning Armenian prisoners of war and captives. He expressed gratitude to Russia for providing regular assistance in the solution of overcoming the consequences of the war unleashed by Azerbaijan. He said the Civil Contract party is interested in expanding long-term cooperation with the One Russia party.
Andrey Klimov highlighted the active cooperation of friendship groups in the deepening of bilateral parliamentary relations. He spoke about security issues, the challenges of global change in the world, the need to promote inter-party ties, the statement said.
