24.08.2021 | 15:51Georgy Muradov, Permanent Representative of Crimea under Russian President Vladimir Putin and Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea, called Turkey’s position in support of the Crimean Platform summit “ignoble”.
“Ankara, unfortunately, took an ignoble position, supporting the American-Kiev provocation against the territorial integrity of Russia. Such a policy does not take into account the difficult pages of our common history for Turkey, which should not be tempted again. To pursue a policy of territorial encroachment in international relations is, as Russian wisdom says, the same as digging a hole for someone else, not thinking that you yourself will fall into it, ”Muradov said. “Turkey should remember well how the Russian leadership helped the Turkish president escape from the coup on July 15, 2016.”
Saying that the Crimean Tatars living in Turkey support the Russian status of Crimea, Putin’s spokesman continued: “They call on the Turkish leadership for honor and nobility in relations with Moscow. Let’s see if the Turkish authorities will listen to them. ”
Representatives of 44 countries, including Turkey, and international organizations are taking part in the Crimean Platform summit, which is being held in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev.
