17.08.2021 | 15:58The border is relatively calm at the moment․ You already know about the victims, the wounded, we can՛t say about the data of the enemy, because, as always, they do not provide information, Andranik Makaryan, Deputy Chief of General Staff told a briefing today.
Makaryan said the enemy is trying to keep tension at Yeraskh and Kut, but is not trying to move forward. “Border is the daily routine of our Armed Forces service and combat activities. As long as we have neighbors like this, there will always be tension. Our task is to suppress them at all times by all methods,” said Makaryan.
Commenting on Minister of Defense Arshak Karapetyan’s words that “If they try to penetrate our territory, I order all of you to use all means to stop them,” Makaryan said the minister’s words should be taken word by word. He also said he has no information on the process of deploying Russian border guards in Tavush.
“I am saying this again: it’s the image of an Armenian with a Bible in his left hand and a Kalashnikov machine gun in his right hand. We must fight and live until the end,” Makaryan concluded.
