Azerologist Anzhela Elibergova detained to NSS of Armenia

The National security service of Armenia has detained Azeri scholar Angela Elibegova, her lawyer Davit Avagyan informs.
“I am in the NSS building. Azeri scholar Angela Elibegova was brought to the NSS Investigation department from her workplace. For more than 40 minutes, the NSS officers have not allowed me to enter the building to meet with my client to provide legal assistance, which grossly violates my client’s right to protection.
“I declare that any legal action taken in the absence of a lawyer chosen by her is illegal,” the lawyer wrote on his Facebook page.
Later, Arsen Babayan, a member of the “Hayrenik” party council, told Factor.am that Elibegova has already been released.
“Angela Elibegova was detained by the NSS at around 9:00 pm and released an hour later,” Babayan said.
