An azeri has died in a mine explosion

19.02.2021 | 16:45An Azeri died after a mine exploded again in the village of Talish in Artsakh, which is currently under Azerbaijani control. According to local media, the Terter District Prosecutor’s Office received information that on February 18th, at around 6:00 pm, Bahtiyar Mahmudov and his relative Elshan Abbasov exploded on a mine in the village of Talish in a “Niva” car.
As a result of the investigation, turned out that the citizens who visited the area got out of the car, and Mahmudov put his foot on the mine and exploded. An expert examination is appointed, Abbasov is involved as a witness. A criminal case has been initiated on the occasion of the incident.
It should be noted that after the end of the Artsakh war, information was regularly spread that Azeri servicemen and civilians were killed or wounded as a result of a mine explosion in the occupied regions of Artsakh. According to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan, since November 10, 2020, 5 servicemen and 9 civilians have been killed in a mine explosion, 52 servicemen and 8 civilians have been injured.
