The Baku Court of Grave Crimes sentenced today 13 Armenian prisoners of war from Shirak Province to six years in prison each. They were charged with illegal crossing of the border and illegal acquisition of weapons.

The Armenian POWs include: Yeghishe Astanyan, Karen Aramyan, Tigran Avagyan, Grigor Gevorgyan, Hovsep Manukyan, Gevorg Mortirosyan, Robert Gevorgyan, Vagharshak Avetisyan, Volodya Hakobyan, Andranik Sukiasyan, Andranik Manukyan, Grigor Saghatelyan, Eduard Kirakosyan.

Earlier, other Armenian POWs were sentenced to prison terms: Lebanese-Armenian Vigen Euljekjyan was sentenced to 20 years in prison, Shirak prisoners Hrach Avagyan and Gegham Serobyan to four years in prison each, and 12 others to six months each. The latter, however, returned to Armenia on July 3.

Recently, two groups of prisoners of war from Shirak Provicne, a total of 26 prisoners, were sentenced to six years in prison each, and yesterday, Armenian prisoners of war Davit Davtyan and Gevorg Sujyan were sentenced to 15 years in prison each.
