U.S. House passes resolution suspending US military aid to Azerbaijan

The U.S. House of Representatives has approved an amendment introduced by Congressman Pallone that would suspend U.S. military financial assistance to Azerbaijan, Voice of America reported.
The amendment presented by Pallone says: “International military education training, as well as any funding through the External Military Financing Program will not be provided to Azerbaijan. The provision does not block discretionary military equipment that may be transferred by the Department of Defense under section 333 of U.S. law.”
Frank Pallone, Co-Chair of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Affairs, welcomed the chamber’s decision on the amendments.
