Baku court sentences 13 more Armenian POWs to six years in prison
The Baku Court of Grave Crimes sentenced each of the 13 prisoners of war from Armenia’s Shirak Province to six years in prison.
The Armenian captives are: Rafik Karapetyan, Hrayr Tadevosyan, Gurgen Galoyan, Vagharshak Maloyan, Sasun Yeghiazaryan, Arsen Vardanyan, Vahagn Baghrikyan, Sedrak Soghomonyan, Arman Dilanyan, Manuk Martonyan, Mels Anbartanyan, Andranik Grigoryan.
The prosecutor asked the court to drop charges related to terrorism and setting up illegal armed groups, requesting seven years for each for illegal crossing of the border and illegal acquisition, possession and transportation of arms and ammunition.
Under the sentence terms, the Armenian POWs are supposed to serve their sentence in a general regime colony.
Yesterday, a Baku court sentenced another group of Armenian prisoners of war to six years in prison each.
