Russia is ready to welcome the mediation efforts of the EU countries in the Nagorno Karabakh negotiations on, if they contribute to the implementation of the existing agreements, Russian president’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told reporters, TASS reported.

“If the mediation efforts bring stability, predictability, help the implementation of the existing agreements, then they should only be welcomed. In general, the work in this direction is not bad,” Peskov said in response to the question regatding EU postion favoring trilateral format of the negotiations.

Yesterday, the Russian and Azerbaijani presidents met in Moscow to discuss issues related to Nagorno Karabakh.
