On July 16, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Sigrid Kaag addressed another letter to the parliament, where he informed about the works undertaken for the repatriation of the Armenian captives. As reported by Armenpress, the Minister particularly noted that the government continues to call on Azerbaijan to fulfill its obligations under international agreements and tripartite statements during meetings at various bilateral and multilateral levels, assuring that the Netherlands will be consistent in this matter, to facilitate the speedy return of all Armenian captives. In addition to the written letter on the commitment of the Netherlands, Kaag also spoke during the debate on Armenia-Azerbaijan organized in the Foreign Affairs Committee of the parliament on the same day. The Acting Minister also informed the Parliament that the Foreign Ministers of Austria, Lithuania and Romania, who are currently in Baku on a regional visit, raised the issue of prisoners on behalf of the EU.  Kaag assured that during the discussions with the member states on increasing the volume of humanitarian aid in Artsakh, as in the Netherlands, the Netherlands has always been in favor of increasing the role of the EU.
