Vladilen Balyan awarded the title of Honory Citizen of Yerevan

The Mayor of Yerevan Hayk Marutyan wrote on his Facebook page:
“Today I had the honor to be hosted at the house of our prominent composer, RA People’s Artist Vladilen Balyan, to award him the title of Honorary Citizen of Yerevan and a commemorative medal. Our meeting, postponed because of the pandemic, was very warm. On behalf of the people of Yerevan, I thanked him for his rich creative heritage that has created the cultural image of our city”.
It should be reminded that the decision to present 97-year-old Balyan with the title of an Honorary Citizen was made at the regular meeting of the Council of Elders of Yerevan to appreciate the composer’s significant contribution to the development of music art and Armenian culture.
