02.07.2021 | 14:10The Prosecutor General’s Office has referred the first vote buying related case to the court, Gor Abrahamyan, an advisor to Prosecutor General said in a Facebook post.
According to the post, a resident of Arjut village of Lori Province, during the June 20 National Assembly snap election, offered sums of money to two residents of the same village in exchange for voting for the I Have Honor bloc.
” I would like to add that taking into account that the person who accepted the offer had confessed and assisted in the identification of the crime, with the consent of the prosecutor, the prosecuting authority decided not to prosecute him on the grounds of active remorse,” Abrahamyan said in the post.
