US military base in Syria attacked

A US military base has been shelled in the northeastern Syrian province of Der Zor, SANA agency reported.
The report said that the missiles were fired in the direction of the military base in the area of El-Mar oil well. No one was injured. The fact that there were no casualties in the attack was also confirmed by the spokesman of the US-led international anti-terrorist coalition, Col. Wayne Marotto.
“US forces have been attacked by several missiles in Syria. There are no victims, the damage assessment is being carried out,” he wrote on Twitter. He added that the US military returned fire.
