Azeri threaten residents of Tegh village preventing them to collect the harvested grass: Human Rights Defender

28.06.2021 | 12:11Yesterday, a group of Azeri soldiers, threatening the residents of Tegh village of Syunik Province with firearms, did not allow them to collect the harvested grass, Armenian ombudsman Arman Tatoyan said in a Facebook post.
On June 26, 2021, the residents of Tegh village went to the land they owned to collect the grass they harvested on June 23 and 24. When they were about 300 meters away from the Azerbaijani position in the administrative area of Tegh community, they noticed that five Azerbaijani armed soldiers were approaching them with aggressive behavior and shouting. Approaching about 150 meters, they aimed their weapons at the villagers, started threatening, shouting and not allowing them to collect the grass.
The incident took place in a place called Andrun Karer, which is located at the intersection of Tegh, Aravus and Khnatsakh villages. The villagers were able to collect the grass only on June 27, when the leadership of the 1st Army Corps of the Armenian Armed Forces, the heads of the local self-government bodies went to that place.
