The governor of Gegharkunik region Gnel Sanosyan informs that yesterday he was paid a visit by the director of “Tumo” center for creative technologies center, Marie Lou Papazyan, and the representatives of the center. Sanosyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“During the meeting, the guests presented the expansion program of “Tumo” center. The main purpose of the meeting is to resolve the problem of locating more than 10 “Tumo” boxes. The boxes are planned to be opened in the communities of the region, which will be accessible to the schoolchildren of the neighboring communities  Cooperation in a number of other directions is expected as well.

I approved the component of the presented program, which plans the installation of boxes at the Tumo Center, based on the population, the number of students, the number of road communication opportunities, and other favorable factors. I am glad that our meetings, discussions, and joint work held months ago have already yielded positive results. I highlight the importance of choosing border communities where education will be available to schoolchildren. We will try to involve the benefactors in certain issues of creating the “Tumo” boxes. The administrative office of Gegharkunik and the communities of the region are ready to support the program so that the remaining boxes of the region will be built and implemented in a short time.

According to Marie Lou Papazian, 2-3 “Tumo” boxes will be installed in each of the communities selected by mutual agreement, depending on the number of students. The center and the boxes will be provided with modern technical means and with specialized teaching staff. As of March 5, one “Tumo” box in Gavar is operating in Gegharkunik region, another box is the opening process”.
