Russian peacekeepers cleared about 1997 hectares of land in Nagorno-Karabakh
The specialists of the RF International Demining Center of the Ministry of Defense continue the work of demining, detection, and neutralization of explosive devices in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by the official website of the Russian Defense Ministry. Russian peacekeepers demined 7 hectares of area, 1 km of road and found 4 explosive devices in one day.
In general, since November 23, 2020, 1.997 hectares of land, 618 km of roads, 1.716 buildings, including 30 objects of social significance have been cleared of unexploded ordnance, 25.571 explosive objects have been found, and neutralized.
By the decree of the President of the Russian Federation on November 10, 2020, the troops of the Russian peacekeepers were deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh. The base of the military is the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District. The commander of the peacekeepers is Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov.
