According to the information, issues related to the fight against coronavirus were discussed in detail. In addition, a number of urgent international issues were touched upon, including the situation in Syria and Libya. At Erdoğan’s request, Putin also presented Russia’s position on the Ukraine crisis. The issue of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was also discussed.
“Recep Tayyip Erdoğan praised Russia’s steps to further stabilize the situation and in the gradual implementation of the trilateral announcements made on November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021. Vladimir Putin informed the Turkish President about the results of the recent contacts with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
“Views were exchanged on the intensification of the rehabilitation of transport infrastructure in the South Caucasus,” the statement says.
