The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reaffirming and strengthening the long-term strategic partnership between Sunhit and LONGi Solar, under which Sunhit continues to serve as LONGi Solar’s official partner in Armenia.

“As we continue advancing the development of solar energy systems, Sunhit is elevating its long-standing cooperation with LONGi Solar to a strategic level. We remain committed to offering Armenian businesses favorable solutions that help improve their operations. The terms provided by our LONGi partners, combined with the quality of their solar panels, are among the best available in Armenia,” said Tigran Vardanyan, Founder and CEO of Sunhit.

The Hi-MO X10 product line is LONGi’s most advanced Hybrid Passivated Back Contact 2.0  module, designed for commercial and distributed solar power generation projects.

By relocating all electrical contacts to the rear of the cell, the underlying HPBC 2.0 technology (Hybrid Passivate Back Contact) eliminates front-side electrode shading entirely, maximizing the active surface area exposed to sunlight and unlocking significantly higher energy yields than conventional module designs. As a result, the module offers up to 670 W of power output, a 24.8% module efficiency, and a 26.6% cell efficiency.

“Our partnership with Sunhit provides a strong local foundation built on technical expertise and market understanding,” said Adrian Kočan, General Manager of LONGi Solar Eastern Europe Business Center (DG). “Through this collaboration, we are working to make high-efficiency back contact technology accessible in Armenia and to support the continued development of a market that is evolving at a remarkable pace.” During the forum, ACBA Leasing, Armenia’s leading leasing company, presented financing opportunities available through the GEFF program, enabling businesses to receive up to 15% cashback when purchasing solar power plants. This makes solar investments even more financially attractive.

Nairi Insurance, Armenia’s longest-established insurance company, the country’s only insurer with an international credit rating (Moody’s B1, Stable Outlook), and the market leader based on its 2025 results, also introduced its exclusive solar power plant insurance package.

Customers purchasing a photovoltaic solar system from Sunhit will receive a complimentary 12-month insurance policy from Nairi Insurance, covering a wide range of risks, including fire, hail, strong winds, flooding, theft, and more. The offer applies regardless of the purchase financing method.

“We continuously monitor market developments and design products that respond to our customers’ evolving needs. Solar energy is developing rapidly in Armenia. While creating this insurance solution, we carefully studied the market and customer demand and, together with Sunhit, developed a product that clearly benefits consumers,” said Gevorg Voskanyan, Deputy CEO of Nairi Insurance.

Ameriabank was granted this prestigious award for a number of innovative solutions launched during the reporting period, which significantly streamlined the process of getting a mortgage loan and provided enhanced access to credit. It is noted, that Ameriabank maintains a leading position in the Armenian mortgage market for seven consecutive years, with a market share standing at about 23% (as of September 30, 2025).

Euromoney notes, that Ameriabank’s success in the real estate sector has been greatly underpinned by the ongoing development of MyHome ecosystem. In particular, as the only bank in Armenia to provide fully digital mortgage loans on the primary market, Ameriabank has moved further, by expanding the capabilities of its platform. Late in 2024, the bank launched online approval of mortgage loans also for the secondary market, thus compressing the process, which previously took around 10 working days, to a few minutes.

Ameriabank provides over 45% of its mortgage loans on primary market via MyHome platform, which demonstrates the leading position of the platform and users’ trust.

Euromoney highlights that the platform has grown significantly, becoming a comprehensive ecosystem of real estate services. Over the past year, the number of MyHome users grew by 42%, while the number of monthly active users tripled. In addition, individual sellers are now given the opportunity to list their real estate on the platform. Now over 6,000 items of real estate from 98 developers and more than 35 brokerage companies are listed on the platform, including property abroad. The platform also features discounts and other benefits from renovation service providers, furniture and appliance stores.

During the reporting period, a renovation cost calculator was added to MyHome, enabling platform users to estimate their renovation budget by answering a few simple questions.

Reflecting on the results of the award ceremony, Arman Barseghyan, Ameriabank’s Retail Banking Director, noted: “It is a great honor for us to be recognized as the Best Bank for Real Estate for the second year in a row, and at the same time confidence to continue with new drive and enthusiasm. Ameriabank consistently introduces innovative solutions, streamlining the process of buying a home and making it easier and more accessible for buyers through cooperation with our partner developers. The transformation of MyHome into a full-fledged ecosystem is yet another milestone achieved in this direction. This award once again proves that our initiatives truly contribute to the qualitative improvement of real estate market in Armenia. We are grateful to Euromoney for the appreciation”.

Garant Logistics completes first cargo transportation on new China-Armenia land route https://factor.am/en/8417.html https://factor.am/en/8417.html#respond Wed, 26 Feb 2025 16:08:33 +0000 https://factor.am/en/?p=8417 Garant Logistics provides comprehensive logistics outsourcing services across European, Asian, CIS, and EAEU countries, offering a single-window service through Supply Chain Management.

The company offers three types of cargo transportation between China and Armenia: sea, air, and land.

Sea transport is the most efficient option for shipping large and bulky cargo over long distances. Garant Logistics partners with leading shipping lines to ensure reliable, safe, and timely delivery of cargo from cities and ports across China and other Asian countries to Armenia, as well as in the opposite direction.

While carrying out sea transportation, the company also focuses on newly developing ports.

In 2024, Garant Logistics launched extensive efforts to assess the potential of Iran’s Chabahar port.

“This port, as the only non-sanctioned ocean port in Iran, has great potential and could become a key hub for trade between Armenia, China, and India,” noted Aram Nikoghosyan, founder of Garant International Group.

“With the development of the necessary infrastructure, Chabahar port will be of great interest to Armenian businesses and logistics companies, becoming a vital platform for expanding trade relations with the global market,” he added.

In 2024, as part of the Armenian delegation’s visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, our company signed a memorandum in the Chabahar Free Economic Zone, which will open up broader opportunities for cooperation and enhance trade relations with Asian countries.

Garant Logistics offers air transportation for swift deliveries.  Cooperating with leading airlines, the company provides express delivery services, including the transport of valuable and perishable goods.

Our specialists design optimal routes and ensure prompt customs clearance, reducing delivery times while preserving the quality of the goods,” he noted.

In the field of land transportation, Garant Logistics has achieved significant milestones. As a result of extensive efforts in 2024, the company now offers fast cargo transportation from any city in China to Armenia, primarily utilizing the Khorgos and Kashgar checkpoints at China’s land exits.

“This  was a real challenge for us, as previously we lacked the experience of carrying out cargo transportation along this route. Considering the importance and advantage of this checkpoint and especially the overload at the Khorgos land checkpoint, our team compiled a list of problems and developed a roadmap to address them. Now I report that at this moment we have implemented the first shipment from Shanghai, China to Yerevan with unprecedented, fastest cargo transportation times.”

From providing a truck to any location in China, to formalizing export procedures and delivering goods at transit checkpoints, all the way to the final destination specified by the customer, the entire shipment process is managed by our team. We have members not only in Armenia, but also in China and other transit countries. Numerous factors influence delivery times, and due to this fact, cargo from Shanghai to Armenia can arrive in 20 to 30 days,” said Nikoghosyan.

Land routes from China to Armenia via Central Asia and Iran enable the delivery of goods in the shortest possible time. Compared to traditional sea transportation, this method reduces delivery time by 30-40%. These land routes offer greater independence and flexibility, reducing possible frequent delays at seaports, disruptions in air transportation, and other external factors. Such transportation also helps optimize logistics costs, which is particularly important for small and medium-sized businesses in Armenia.

“The development of land routes stimulates exports and imports, creates jobs, and attracts investment. It is also worth noting that Garant Logistics is actively involved in initiatives related to the development of the North-South international corridor, which enhances Armenia’s transit potential.

Armenia has significant potential and, if properly organized, could become a key logistics hub for transporting goods between Asia and Europe,” he concluded.

Garant International Group includes Garant Logistics, Tower International Consultants, and Garant Shipping. Garant Logistics has been operating in over 100 countries worldwide for more than a decade, offering 4PL outsourcing services. These services range from developing logistics strategies and optimizing costs to managing the entire business process chain, including road, sea, rail, air, and multimodal freight transportation, warehouse logistics, and customs brokerage services. These services are available in Armenia, Georgia, Europe, the EAEU, Asia, and other countries.

As a logistics outsourcing company, Garant Logistics organizes the entire logistics chain for businesses. It is not only responsible for implementing transport logistics services but also for designing and planning supply chains, as well as managing logistics business processes within the company.

Garant Logistics also offers its full range of services outside of Armenia. Garant International Group is already operational in Georgia, and Garant Sepdition, a transport company, operates in Europe. The potential and capabilities of the company’s team enable it to provide coverage for 80% or more of global cargo transportation services.

Tower International Consultants, a member of the Garant International Group, serves large and prestigious Armenian and international companies. It specializes in providing accounting and tax outsourcing services (including payroll and Employer of Record), legal consulting (corporate law), and business consulting services to both Armenian and international clients.

Aida Tigranyan, the director of Yeremyan Academy, opened the event with a welcoming speech. She highlighted the purpose of the meeting, titled “David Yeremyan’s Recipe for Success: The Past, Present, and Future of the Restaurant Business in Armenia.” Tigranyan emphasized that the event offered a unique opportunity for attendees to hear Yeremyan’s personal success story, gain insights into the restaurant and hospitality industries in Armenia, and learn about the challenges and opportunities in the field.

“All of you here are individuals who have a dream and are actively pursuing it, as evidenced by your presence today. I’ve often said that to become a good professional, you must love what you do. In this field, it is impossible to succeed without continuous learning, development, passion, effort, and energy. I began my journey with this understanding. From my experience, being a restaurateur means making it a lifestyle. It was this passion and having a dream that helped me start my path, overcome many challenges, and lay the strong foundations of Armenia’s restaurant industry,” said David Yeremyan in his address.

Looking back to the year 2001, David Yeremyan first presented the journey he undertook, how everything started, and shared the difficulties and challenges he faced along the way, however he also inspired the participants. “Regardless of what you start with or the scale of your initiation, you should always have the aspiration and will to achieve more.

Everything started from a small stall, but I had a vision, a dream to reach new horizons and heights, and the desire to achieve it—despite the difficulties—never be afraid and never retreat.

He also answered the participants’ questions. In response to the question, “What is David Yeremyan’s recipe for success?” he answered: “To be able to set goals and not surrender under any circumstances… and for this, you need to answer three main questions: What am I doing? How am I moving forward in this constantly evolving world? And what results do I want to achieve?”

While discussing the history of his success, David Yeremyan also introduced his sister, Lusine Yeremyan, who has supported him throughout his journey with her advice, support, and encouragement.

“I am proud to present my sister, Lusine Yeremyan, to you today. Lusine is a sought-after specialist who has worked in Armenia and abroad for nearly two decades, holding leadership positions in various international organizations, including the United Nations, the World Bank, and the Millennium Challenge Foundation. Lusine has played a significant role in the development of these organizations through her strategic advice and introduction of innovative ideas.

Now she has moved to Yerevan to join our company, where she will assume the role of my deputy and take on the responsibilities of Marketing and Communication Director. She is also a member of the management board of the Yeremyan Projects group of companies,” he said.

David Yeremyan emphasized that the success of any company is rooted in its people and team. “Yeremyan Projects” has successfully brought together dedicated, responsible, and creative individuals. Thanks to their consistent work, values, and principles, the company continues to evolve and present new programs and products to the public.

During the meeting, discussions focused on expanding the business into new regions and abroad, the organization’s development vision, upcoming initiatives, and other important topics related to the restaurant industry.

World Food Programme, Eurasian Development Bank, and Yeremyan Farm Sign Letter of Intent for Expansion of the “Milk in Schools” project in Armenia https://factor.am/en/8304.html https://factor.am/en/8304.html#respond Fri, 28 Jun 2024 09:00:47 +0000 https://factor.am/en/?p=8304 On June 27, in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) represented by Senior Managing Director, Denis Ilin, the World Food Programme (WFP) represented by WFP Representative and Country Director in Armenia, Nanna Skau, and Yeremyan Farm represented by Founder and CEO of Yeremyan Projects Group of Companies, Davit Yeremyan, signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for the expansion of the “Milk to Schools” program in Armenia. The partnership aims to establish a cooperative framework to assess the feasibility of the initiative and identify potential contributions to support its implementation by consolidating the efforts and resources among the three organizations.

Launched in December 2022, the “Milk in Schools” program was initiated through a partnership between Nanna Skau and Davit Yeremyan. The pilot program was designed to integrate milk consumption into the daily diets of both children and adults in Armenia, aiming to decrease the consumption of unhealthy snacks such as sugary and salty foods, while fostering a long-term demand for milk as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Lasting from January to December 2023 in the Vayots Dzor region, the program involved Schools No. 1 in Jermuk and No. 1 in Yeghegnadzor and benefited approximately 411 students in grades 5-9 by providing each of them with a daily glass of “Yeremyan Products” milk, contributing to a healthier start to their day.

The Eurasian Development Bank, known for fostering economic growth and integration among its member states, joins the collaborative initiative aiming to expand the exposure of more schoolchildren to improved nutrition and healthier habits through the use of high-quality milk. Referring to this initiative, Denis Ilin, Senior Managing Director of the EDB, stated, “Three years ago, the EDB and Yeremyan Projects launched a crucial initiative to establish a comprehensive milk supply chain for schools. This journey took us from a business idea to an investment project, from the start of construction to delivering milk to store shelves and meeting social needs. We are pleased to have received support from the UN, and we hope to continue the project with the same lineup.”

Piloted two years ago, the “Milk in Schools” program marked an important partnership between WFP and Yeremyan Projects, stirring up a recipe for healthier habits that fuel young minds and bodies. The program scored an unprecedented success, with the assessments by WFP of the behavioral changes among children, noting a significant increase in milk consumption and a decrease in the intake of sweet drinks. Research conducted at the beginning and end of the program revealed positive shifts in attitudes towards milk among participating children, with a notable increase in preference for milk as a beverage of choice.

Feedback from parents also reflected the project’s positive impact, with many reporting changes in their children’s milk consumption habits and preferences. Evaluation studies showed a reduction in the consumption of carbonated beverages and an increase in milk consumption among schoolchildren, reinforcing the project’s success in encouraging healthier dietary choices.

According to the representative and country director of the Armenian office of the UN World Food Program, Nanna Skau, the continuity of the program is a testament to its effectiveness: “As we expand the “Milk in Schools” project in Armenia, our partnership with the Eurasian Development Bank and Yeremyan Farm is a step in the right direction to promote nutrition and healthy habits among Armenian children. Through our collaborative efforts, we secure long-term health benefits, strengthen students’ educational journeys, and enhance human capital.”

With the Eurasian Development Bank and World Food Programme, both aiming to ensure food security in Armenia, Yeremyan Projects shares the unifying mission to advocate milk as a nutritious drink for children. Building on its success, the program is now poised for expansion, aiming to reach a greater number of schools and students across Armenia, thereby further enhancing children’s nutrition and promoting healthy dietary habits.

Founder and CEO of Yeremyan Projects Group of Companies, Davit Yeremyan, states: “Last year, in collaboration with the UN World Food Programme, we successfully piloted a program in two schools, resulting in impressive and significant outcomes. These outcomes serve as strong evidence that we are pursuing the right strategy to achieve our goal of fostering a new culture of milk consumption. I express my gratitude to our partners for supporting this important initiative for Armenia. With this collaboration, we will expand the program, ensuring that our children have access to high-quality milk that meets the highest standards.”

It should be noted that in 2022, the Armenian Government, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), and “Yeremyan Farm” signed a memorandum of cooperation with the purpose of ensuring food security and sustainable economic development in the agro-industry sector of the Republic of Armenia. As part of this investment project, Armenia’s first-of-its-kind and unique livestock complex was constructed within a year in the Tashir community of Lori Province, marking the final stage of the investment project. The complex was opened in October 2023. Additionally, within the same project framework, the new state-of-the-art milk processing plant of the Yeremyan Projects Group of Companies was constructed and opened in May 2024.

”Yeremyan Projects” opens state-of-the-art dairy production plant https://factor.am/en/8287.html https://factor.am/en/8287.html#respond Sat, 25 May 2024 12:17:52 +0000 https://factor.am/en/?p=8287 “Yeremyan Projects” company officially launched the “Yeremyan Products” state-of-the-art milk processing plant in Yerevan on May 24. The plant includes 2 hectares of production space, with 2,500 square meters of warehouse space, 1,000 square meters of refrigeration systems, and 6,000 square meters for the milk production plant, laboratories, and an R&D center. It has the potential to process 150,000 liters of milk per day.

It has been built within the framework of a large investment project initiated in 2022, when the Armenian Government, the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), and “Yeremyan Farm” signed a memorandum of cooperation. The purpose of this memorandum is to ensure the food security and sustainable economic development of the Republic of Armenia in the agro-industry sector.

As part of this investment project, the first-of-its-kind and unique livestock complex in Armenia was constructed within a year in the Tashir community of Armenia’s Lori Province. Its opening took place in October 2023. The construction of the milk processing plant marked the final stage of this investment project.

The official opening of the plant was attended by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan, EDB Senior Managing Director Denis Ilyin, representatives of partner organizations, and members of the Yeremyan Projects team.

“As the Government, we support all businessmen who create new products, establish jobs, and contribute to the strengthening and development of the country’s economy,” Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said in his speech, adding: “The establishment of this new plant carries a message that we prioritize quality and international standards. This factory will produce products in line with specified standards, which is crucial not only for providing high-quality, safe, and internationally standardized products for our citizens but also for the significant prospects it holds for future exports.”

Denis Ilyin in his speech said: “This project is truly a bright  example of an EDB-made initiative. We began working with a partner from the conceptual stage, developed the financing structure, design, and technical documents, and successfully guided the project through to the end of the investment stage.

Moreover, it’s a vertically integrated  project—from sowing and harvesting fodder in our own fields to supplying it to the farm and producing a diverse range of dairy and meat products. In fact, this isn’t just one project but a series of projects that “Yeremyan Projects” has effectively executed.

Today we are inaugurating a dairy plant, which will provide the Armenian market with a new, large volume of high-quality dairy products that are in great demand.”

The guests took a tour of the factory, got acquainted with its technical equipment, approaches and features of the operation.

“The plant is state-of-the-art, in compliant with ISO standards,” said Yeremyan Projects General Director Davit Yeremyan.

“I have emphasized numerous times that with this program, we have also assumed a significant responsibility to develop a new culture of modern animal husbandry and the production and consumption of dairy products in Armenia. High quality has been and remains our primary principle. In the pursuit of producing top-quality milk, proper milk processing is very important, and for this, the conditions are of paramount importance. With this plant, we can confidently assert that we produce milk and dairy products that meet the highest standards. The factory is equipped with four laboratories furnished with special equipment, enabling us to monitor every stage of production.

This is one of the unique dairy plants in Armenia that has a Research and Development (R&D) center. In other words, we will not only check and control, but we will conduct on-site studies and experiments, we will constantly introduce new products to our consumers”, added Davit Yeremyan, expressing gratitude to the the project parties, partner and team for their trust, effective cooperation and for a great amount of work implemented jointly.

It should be noted that ISO standards include air and space cleanliness, effective management of all work processes, hygiene control mechanisms. The plant has about 70 separate departments, each of which is controlled strictly. The entire area of the plant has a centralized ventilation system, thanks to which the production areas are provided with sterilized clean air and appropriate temperature.

The plant is constructed to prevent employees and all internal components from coming into contact with external air. Additionally, it provides amenities such as a canteen for employees, a smoking room, and a medical station.

The state-of-the-art plant will provide an opportunity to expand production capacity and introduce new products. “Yeremyan Products” will soon be enriched with 50 new dairy items, including a wide variety of locally produced European cheeses.

Lithuanian solar power plant to produce electricity in Armenia as well https://factor.am/en/8085.html https://factor.am/en/8085.html#respond Thu, 10 Feb 2022 15:01:04 +0000 https://factor.am/en/?p=8085 Lithuanian solar power plant to produce electricity in Armenia as well. Lithuanian solar energy company Solet Technics together with a partner company The OHM Energy is starting power plant installation works. The electricity generated by the 115- kWp solar power plant will be used by eight public institutions located in Armenia: schools, children and youth centres, and a museum.
The project is being funded by the Climate Change Programme, which is administered by the Environmental Projects Management Agency (EPMA). Almost a third of the funds – over EUR 40,000 – are being provided by Solet Technics and its partners.
According to Solet Technics CEO Andrius Karazinas, it is estimated that the solar power plant will produce approximately 163,000 kWh per year. This will ensure almost 86 per cent of the electricity currently being consumed at these establishments.
“As of now, the schools, museum, and children and youth centres are using electricity from the power grid, as well as natural gas and diesel for heating. The solar power plant will help them meet their educational and community development goals, and will also inevitably contribute to preservation of the environment and improvement of the quality of life. We believe that the installation of this power plant will stimulate the process of introducing renewable energy sources throughout the country,” says Mr Karazinas.
According to the CEO, project implementation works started in late February of this year, once the contract was signed with the EPMA. Organisational work and procurement took longer than planned due to the pandemic restrictions, but the power plant is finally ready for installation and all the necessary equipment is currently being transported to Armenia.
“Installation of the solar power plant is scheduled for late October-November, but with COVID-19, there is always a chance of it being postponed. Hopefully we’ll manage to avoid that. We plan to complete all of the work and the procedures for arranging the necessary documents in February of next year,” says Mr Karazinas.
